It's Monday!
We have collected 84 cans of food for GSB Cares a Ton! We have been in competition with Mrs. Peaslee's class. We are one can behind. We will be collecting until Friday the 18th! Please help us reach our goal.
This year, our student council is having a door decorating contest. Our class chose the theme of "The Polar Express." The winner of the contest gets a pizza party on Friday! We are hoping to win! Our Technology coordinator, KJ even rigged up an iPad with train sound effects. Every time some one walks by, a train whistle blows! Here is what we have so far...

Recycling Presentation
Our friends Barry and Tim from the Lincoln County Recycling Center and Barry from the Nobleboro/Jefferson Transfer Station. We learned about what we can recycle at home and how to sort materials at the recycling center. Students were excited to learn about their new initiative to collect organic materials to make compost.

GSB Cares a TON!
"GSB Care a TON" is a food drive for our local food pantry. Our school is trying to collect 2000 lbs of food! We will be collecting non-perishable items (personal care items too!) until Friday, December 18th. Please consider sending in goods with your child. We have challenged Mrs. Peaslees's class! We are trying to collect more food than they do! It's a close race, so far!
